THERAPY FOR PEOPLE NAVIGATING GRIEF, RELATIONSHIPS, AND CHANGE

For the life transitions that ask you to become more fully yourself

Maybe you’re questioning your relationships, struggling with a loss, or noticing patterns you don’t quite understand. You may know you want things to be different, even if you’re unsure what that means.

Therapy offers a place to explore these experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and discover what might be possible.

Curious about beginning therapy?

We can begin with whatever is happening in your life right now. If you’re considering therapy, I welcome you to reach out.

About Kelly

I believe therapy can be a place where grief, honesty, repair, and becoming all have room.

My work is grounded in curiosity, relational depth, and respect for the complexity of being human. I’m particularly interested in how our experiences and relationships shape the ways we understand ourselves and connect with others.

Before becoming a therapist trainee, I spent more than 25 years working in facilities and project management. Psychotherapy had always been a career I wanted to pursue, and when the time was right, I returned to school to follow that path.

My previous career taught me a great deal about collaboration, navigating change, and understanding the dynamics that exist between people. I learned that what happens beneath the surface can be just as important as what’s being said, and that change often involves uncertainty and resistance.

I bring these experiences into my work as a therapist, along with patience, curiosity, and a respect for each person’s lived experience. My hope is to create a space where we can explore what you’re experiencing, including the things that may be difficult to understand or put into words.

I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee practicing at Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center (GGICC) in San Francisco. I receive ongoing supervision from Dr. Kellen Grayson, Psy.D., LMFT #50074, and all clinical work is conducted under their supervision in accordance with California law.

My Approach

A close-up of an orange flower with multiple petals and a green stem, with a background of blurred orange flowers and green foliage.

Therapy with me is both deep and alive.

We make room for pain, grief, and the patterns that keep showing up. We also make room for curiosity, imagination, repair, and the possibility that you are not finished becoming.

You don’t need to know exactly what you’re feeling or where to begin. We can start with whatever is happening in your life, whether that’s a relationship, a difficult experience, or something you can’t quite understand about yourself.

Our work is collaborative. I’m curious about your experiences, and I’ll often ask questions to better understand what you’re sharing. Sometimes we’ll slow down and pay attention to the emotions within your story, including what might be difficult to recognize or put into words. Other times, we may simply sit with what’s emerging rather than rush to make sense of it.

As we work together, we may begin to recognize patterns in how you experience emotions, relate to others, or understand yourself. We might explore how earlier relationships and experiences continue to influence your life today.

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, with relational, depth, and transpersonal influences. This means being curious about the experiences that have shaped you and recognizing that new understanding and ways of relating can emerge through the therapeutic relationship.

Therapy I Offer:

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there’s a specific concern, and other times it’s harder to put into words. Whatever brings you here, we can begin by exploring what’s happening in your life.

Relationships, Family, and Connection

You may find yourself having the same disagreements, feeling misunderstood, or struggling to connect with someone important to you. Perhaps you’re navigating changes in your family, questioning a relationship, or noticing patterns you don’t want to keep repeating.

Therapy offers space to explore how your experiences have shaped the ways you relate to others, what happens when relationships become difficult, and what it might mean to connect differently.

Emotional Well-Being & Self-Understanding

Sometimes emotions feel overwhelming. Other times, you may struggle to understand what you’re feeling or why you’re reacting in certain ways. You might be experiencing anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, or a sense that something in your life isn’t quite right.

Together, we can explore these experiences with curiosity and patience, making room for a deeper understanding of yourself and the ways you’ve learned to navigate the world.

Grief, Loss & Life Transitions

Loss and change can leave us questioning what comes next. You may be grieving someone you love, caring for an aging parent, navigating a major life transition, or coming to terms with changes you didn’t anticipate.

Sometimes grief is about what we’ve lost. Other times, it’s about what is changing or what may never be.

Therapy can offer a place to explore these experiences, including the uncertainty, emotions, and questions that come with them.

Where I Practice

I currently see clients through Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center (GGICC), a community counseling clinic in San Francisco. Sessions are available in person and through telehealth for California residents.

GGICC’s approach is integrative, holistic, and rooted in the belief that quality mental health care should be accessible. The center works with people across many identities, backgrounds, spiritual traditions, and life experiences.

This setting feels deeply aligned with how I understand therapy: as a space for the whole person. Your grief, relationships, family stories, culture, identity, body, imagination, spirituality, questions, and contradictions all belong in the work.
